A level drama and theatre student, Lauren Wadsworth, has achieved a place at Laine Theatre Arts; a top performing arts training school with an excellent record of moving people into the performing arts industry. She's also holding audition call backs to other schools.
Many thanks to everyone involved with fundraising for The Children's Hospital Charity; We raised an impressive £1348.74 for the Sheffield Children's Hospital snowflake appeal. The money will help buy life-saving equipment and fund vital research.
Talented athletes Emma Shipley and Leah Gregory won their U15 Girls 800m heats at the U15/13 Athletice Championships this weekend to go through to the final, where Emma gained silver with an English Schools best time. Brilliant news girls!
'Go Orange' day at DHFS on Friday 1st February, was a huge success, raising £193.91 overall throughout the day. The orange was everywhere! Sixth Form students and staff participated in the nationwide event to raise money for muscular dystrophy. Thanks folks.
Things are currently going very well in Basketball: w/c 28th January, Year 10 defeated Woodlands 60-14 in the County Cup, Year 7 won 29-0 against QUEGS, and our U18 girls defeated John Fisher School in the National Cup Quarter Final. Brilliant news everyone!
